Introduction

We are seeking a highly motivated professional to join our team as a Heavy Industry Integration Principal Engineer. This role will see you involved in the full systems engineering lifecycle, from requirements analysis to validation, ensuring seamless integration of rolling stock systems.

About this role

  • Execute the systems engineering process, including requirements analysis, system architecture, design, integration, verification, and validation.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to develop integrated rolling stock systems.
  • Develop and manage system requirements to meet project objectives and regulatory compliance.
  • Contribute to System Engineering Management Plans (SEMP) for rolling stock projects.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for technical challenges.
  • Support procurement processes, evaluate supplier proposals, and provide technical guidance.
  • Participate in design reviews, verification, and validation activities.

Is this you?

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering (or related field).
  • 3+ years of experience in Systems Engineering within rollingstock or rail systems.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards & regulations for rollingstock.
  • Proficiency in systems engineering tools (requirements management, system modeling, V&V).
  • Hands-on experience with Requirements Management software (e.g., Polarion, DOORS, Jama).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA) is desirable.
