Introduction

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading) Supply Chain Coordinator to manage the supply chain operations for offshore oil and gas activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the oil and gas industry, with specific expertise in supply chain management for FPSO projects.

About this role

  • Supply Chain Management:

    • Oversee the end-to-end supply chain process for FPSO projects, from procurement to delivery.
    • Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimize costs, lead times, and material availability.
    • Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., operations, procurement, and engineering) to ensure timely availability of materials and services.
    • Monitor supply chain performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Procurement and Vendor Management:

    • Source and select suppliers, negotiate contracts, and maintain strong relationships with key vendors.
    • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.
    • Manage purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of materials and equipment.
    • Collaborate with vendors to resolve any supply chain issues and maintain continuity of supply.
  • Logistics Coordination:

    • Coordinate the transportation, storage, and distribution of materials and equipment to offshore FPSO units.
    • Work with freight forwarders and shipping companies to ensure timely and cost-effective logistics solutions.
    • Manage customs clearance processes and ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
  • Inventory Management:

    • Oversee inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock levels for critical FPSO equipment and materials.
    • Conduct regular inventory audits and maintain accurate records of stock movements.
    • Implement inventory management practices to reduce excess stock and minimize the risk of stockouts.
  • Risk Management and Compliance:

    • Identify potential supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure uninterrupted operations.
    • Ensure all supply chain activities comply with industry standards, health, safety, and environmental regulations.
    • Monitor and report on supply chain performance, providing key insights to management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in the oil and gas industry, with a focus on FPSO operations.
  • Strong understanding of procurement, logistics, inventory management, and vendor management within an offshore oil and gas context.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of international trade regulations, customs, and import/export requirements.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a focus on meeting deadlines and optimizing efficiency.
