Introduction

The Sr. Specialist Production Chemist will be responsible for providing advanced chemical expertise and support to optimize production processes. This role involves analyzing and interpreting chemical data, developing and implementing chemical treatment programs, and providing recommendations to enhance production efficiency and product quality. The specialist will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the successful implementation of chemical solutions

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and interpret chemical data from various sources, including laboratory tests, field samples, and production data.
  • Develop and maintain chemical treatment programs to optimize production processes and improve product quality.
  • Provide chemical support for production operations, including troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Collaborate with production engineers, reservoir engineers, and other specialists to integrate chemical data into production models.
  • Conduct studies to assess the impact of chemical treatments on production efficiency and product quality.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in production chemistry and apply new technologies and methodologies to improve project outcomes.
  • Mentor and train junior chemists and other team members.

Requirements

  • Subject Matter Expert.
  • Minimum 20 years working experience in reservoir and production chemical. High skills on developing best in class process to find chemical options for mitigation. Expert in core flooding design and analysis.
  • Lab experience in core flooding evaluating mineral and organic scales is highly required.
  • Expert in ScaleChem, Prosper, OFM & commercial corrosion software with knowledge in reservoir simulators like Eclipse and Reveal.
