Introduction

  • The Sr. Geomechanics Specialist will be responsible for providing advanced geomechanical expertise and support to various projects. This role involves analyzing and interpreting geomechanical data, developing models, and providing recommendations to optimize drilling and production operations. The specialist will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the successful implementation of geomechanical solutions.

About this role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and interpret geomechanical data from various sources, including well logs, core samples, and seismic data.
  • Develop and maintain geomechanical models to predict rock behavior and optimize drilling and production operations.
  • Provide geomechanical support for well planning, drilling, and completion activities.
  • Collaborate with geologists, reservoir engineers, and drilling engineers to integrate geomechanical data into reservoir models.
  • Conduct geomechanical studies to assess wellbore stability, sand production, and hydraulic fracturing.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in geomechanics and apply new technologies and methodologies to improve project outcomes.
  • Mentor and train junior geomechanics engineers and other team members.

Requirements

  • M.Sc. in Rock Mechanics or related field
  • Subject Matter Expert.
  • Minimum 20 years working experience in Geo-Mechanics in Petroleum Industry that include Subsidence/Compaction and Geomechanical Models.
  • Experts in Geomechanical software with industry standard platforms like Drill works Predict, GMI software suite, Petrel and Eclipse.
