About this role

  • Experience in mega scale buildings and infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience in the procurement methodologies for consultancy and construction contracts.
  • Provide the required technical support, assistance, and advice on all aspects of quantity surveying activities covering preparing feasibility studies and early-stage budgets, preparation of Bills of Quantities, tenders’ technical & commercial evaluation, measurements, certification of payments…etc.
  • Ensure completeness and validity of contractual requirements.
  • Monitor all the cost and contractual aspects of a Tender and report to the management.
  • Provide analytical support to the management team.
  • Claim management skills, including measuring, assessing, and valuing variations.
  • Review and assessment of claims
  • Ensuring construction contracts and professional services agreements are well prepared, and then, administered appropriately.
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Is this you?

  • BSc. degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying from a recognized university with a minimum of 10 years industrial experience.
  • Minimum 10 years demonstrable postgraduate experience in all facets of the Quantity Surveying profession; all of which shall have been applicable to capacity of a professional Quantity Surveyor working in a professional Consultancy practice or Employers’ organization.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in pre-contract activities which comprises the involvement with tender documentation, dealing with tenders, preparation of Bills of Quantities & method of measurements, familiar with financial submissions of the tenders and possess sound communication skills.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in post-contract activities which comprises providing advice on contractual matters, dispute resolution, review and drafting contractual letters.
  • Prepare, review and validate payments certificates. VOs and claims evaluation. Advice on potential impacts of the Site Instructions/Variations on project’s allocated budget
  • Excellent exposure to different forms of contracts.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in procurement methods for consultancy and construction contracts as well as International contracting conditions and laws.
  • Extensive knowledge in contract administration.
  • Candidates with 5 years of experience in the gulf region is preferred.
