Introduction

About this role

  • The candidates shall work within a trouble-shooting team responsible for the following:
  • Tracking of the projects’ programme and feeding into the cost control systems
  • Acts as the focal point of contact for all project programme and cost reporting aspects on the project.
  • Assists in establishing accurate and complete project progress and cost reporting.
  • Provide planning and scheduling support required in the execution of major capital projects
  • Develop Project WBS (work breakdown structure) using the latest project planning and scheduling tools
  • Evaluates the planning and scheduling information collected from Project
  • Review and monitor schedule and progress submitted by contractors
  • Discuss, coordinate and resolve long term and short-term planning and scheduling Problems
  • Deliver timely, accurate and sensitive project controls information that facilitates a clear understanding of the performance of the project in relation to planned performance targets

Is this you?

  • BSc degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent / relevant to the construction industry.
  • Excellent command of oral and written English.
  • Membership to a relevant professional body is desired (PMP, etc.)
  • A minimum of 15 years postgraduate experience within the construction industry
  • Worked in the capacity of Senior Planning Manager or Senior Forensic Planner within a Professional Consultancy or Client Organization (Contracting background may also be considered).
  • A proven track record of Planning / Forensic Delay Analysis on major international projects.
  • Preferably, have minimum 3 years’ experience in the gulf region.
  • Previous experience as the Planning Manager for complex projects within the last 7 years, ideally construction supervision projects in the Golf region.
  • Fully understand the aspects of project controls of complex projects of different natures (Roads, highway, drainage, building…etc.) and the management interrelationship between the associated design disciplines.
  • Experienced with using Primavera P6 and CESMM 3 or 4 method of measurement.
  • Be able to communicate effectively with project controls teams and motivate them to meet the project objectives
  • Good leadership skills and be able to work in a multi-cultural and multi-discipline team.
