Introduction

On behalf of our client, a High Profile Leading Oil & Gas Energy Group located in the heart of the Brisbane CBD, Brunel is presently sourcing a Senior Planner for a 12 month contract. You will will provide support to the Brownfield Projects portfolio.

About this role

Planning for Brownfield Projects

  • Develop and manage overall master project schedule, coordinating and incorporating Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Owner's Team and contractor data
  • Maintain project schedule versions, ie baseline, control budget, concept alternatives) to enable management of change and comparison between reporting periods
  • Lead regular interactive, cross-functional planning sessions to ensure that the schedule is fully integrated and appropriately reviewed / challenged by all stakeholders
  • Proactively identify, analyse, and advise project management team regarding schedule risks
  • Evaluate impacts through sensitivity analysis to identify optimum / alternative project strategies to resolve problems / issues
  • Implement regular schedule reporting regarding performance versus plan including deviations
  • Own and develop schedule documentation such as basis of schedule, schedule management plan, master project schedule
  • Review and steward Contractors' planning and scheduling performance in compliance with contract requirements
  • Support Project Management Team with schedule communication presentation to business leadership
  • Ensure compliancy with project planning and scheduling policies, procedures, and guidelines, as well as industry best practice
  • Support any third-party analysis and benchmarking activities

Is this you?

Requirements

  • Bachelor in Engineering, Project Management or other relevant Upstream Oil & Gas qualifications
  • Extensive project planning experience with EPC contracts
  • Experience across all phases of a project within the Upstream Oil & Gas industry, ie from front-end / pre-FEED project phases through to execution
  • Demonstrated experience planning multiple projects and capital works activities within a brownfield operational environment
  • Global experience, especially in developing countries and / or remote locations is desirable
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Analytical, with the ability to utilise multiple data sources to deliver outcomes
  • Process driven with an enthusiasm for identifying improvements and efficiencies
  • Expert in Oracle Primavera P6
  • Advanced level of proficiency in MS Office Suite , especially Excel
