Introduction

Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in HV Overhead Powerline projects? We're looking for a Senior Engineer or Project Manager to work with principal contractors and external energy stakeholders to upgrade the OHP lines in and around a resource site.

About this role

You will be working for a Tier 1 resource organisation where you will play a key role in upgrading the critical infrastructure in and around the site. You'll be leading the design, construction, and coordination of HV transmission projects while ensuring safety compliance and collaboration with key stakeholders. This is a 6-month contract based in Brisbane at our client's office where you will play a key role in upgrading critical infrastructure for the resource sector.

Requirements:

  • Lead and coordinate HV overhead powerline projects.
  • Collaborate with utilities, contractors, and stakeholders to meet project goals.
  • Oversee the design process using tools like PLS-CADD and AutoCAD.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian electrical standards and safety regulations.
  • Manage contracts and liaise with principal contractors and utilities.

Ideal Candidate

  • 10+ years of experience as an electrical engineer, ideally within HV Transmission for resource sites.
  • Expertise in HV overhead powerline design, construction, and project management.
  • Proficient in PLS-CADD and relevant HV design software.
  • Extensive knowledge of Australian electrical standards and approval processes.
  • Strong communication and contract negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and compliance on construction sites.
  • Must have full and unrestricted Australian Working Rights.
