About this role

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Rig Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair drilling rig equipment. You will be responsible for ensuring all mechanical systems operate efficiently to support drilling operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance on rig equipment (engines, pumps, generators, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical faults
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance
  • Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards

Is this you?

  • Full working rights in Australia
  • Physically fit, able to work long hours in extreme weather
  • Comfortable working at heights and outdoors year-round
  • Team player with strong communication, safety focus & time management
  • Able to follow directions, policies, and complete training on time
  • Valid manual driver's licence & awareness of Chain of Responsibility
  • Willing to work 12-hour shifts for extended periods away from home
  • Clean National Police Clearance (issued within the last month)
  • Preferred certifications (training can be provided):
  • Industry Safety Induction, Fire Response, First Aid & CPR
  • Confined Space, Gas Testing, Working at Heights, 4WD
  • Permit to Work & Breathing Apparatus

Mechanics only: Valid Mechanical Trade Certificate (Diesel/Heavy Vehicle)
