Brunel is proud to partner with a leading medicinal cannabis company to source an experienced Production Manager for their state-of-the-art GMP-certified facility in Collie, WA. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in scaling operations within an established and innovative organisation at the forefront of the Australian medicinal cannabis industry.

About this role

As the Production Manager, you will be responsible for the start-up and full operational management of a large-scale cannabis production facility. You will lead a high-performing team and oversee both indoor and outdoor cultivation, ensuring compliance with GMP regulations while driving efficiency and quality in extraction and manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the operational management of a GMP-certified cannabis production facility.
  • Manage a 1-acre indoor and 10-acre outdoor grow operation, producing 10 tonnes from indoor and 30 tonnes from outdoor cultivation.
  • Lead and develop a team of 20, including extraction specialists and quality managers.
  • Ensure continuous production with structured shift patterns, including daily harvesting and processing.
  • Develop and enforce SOPs, compliance documentation, and validation processes.
  • Work closely with Quality and Validation teams to maintain regulatory standards.
  • Report directly to the CFO, with travel to Perth twice per month.

Is this you?

  • 5+ years' experience in a similar role within the cannabis, pharmaceutical, or poppy processing industry.
  • Proven experience in start-ups and scaling operations, with a strong background in GMP compliance, extraction, and manufacturing.
  • Strong leadership and operational management skills, with the ability to drive a high-performance culture.
