Introduction

We are currently seeking a skilled Process Engineer for a 3-month FIFO contract with a background in metallurgy to join a leading mining operation on a site-based, short-term contract. This role is critical in supporting the day-to-day performance of the plant, driving process efficiency, and ensuring production targets are met.

About this role

Provide technical support across iron ore processing circuits
Monitor and analyse plant performance to identify opportunities for optimisation
Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to troubleshoot process issues
Assist in the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards
Prepare reports and contribute to metallurgical investigations and test work

Is this you?

Previous experience in a process engineering/metallurgist role within the iron ore sector
Tertiary qualification in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline
Strong knowledge of mineral processing and plant operations
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communicator with a team-oriented approach
Must be available to start immediately
Australian residency is essential
