Introduction

We are looking for a highly skilled P6 Planner to work for our client, a leading mining and construction projects business in WA. This is a 6-12 month contract with a strong possibility of extension. The role is office-based in Perth CBD, with occasional visits to mine site construction projects.

About this role

  • As a Planning Specialist at Brunel International, your responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting all scheduling, planning, and progress activities
  • Providing guidance and support to managers, engineers, and other Planners in matters relating to scheduling and planning interpretation
  • Managing the Project Master Schedule and ensuring oversight and integrity of all associated detailed schedules
  • Amending, managing, maintaining, and soliciting all information required to support a quality, concise, timely, and trusted schedule
  • Updating and maintaining the schedule against the approved baseline on a monthly basis
  • Reviewing weekly and monthly schedule reports to address progress or key concerns
  • Recording scheduling meetings, tracking actions, and communicating them to the management team
  • Using earned value performance indicators to flag any schedule creep
  • Providing scheduling guidance on acceleration or recovery against the baseline, critical path analysis, and major risk areas
  • Collaborating with contractors and management teams to analyze trends that may impact project deliverables
  • Identifying schedule risks and opportunities and maintaining a schedule risk and opportunity register

Is this you?

Requirements:

  • Proven experience within a working on engineering/construction projects including the development and maintenance of level 4 integrated project schedulesCritical Path Analysis Proficiency - Essential skill set required including formulation EOT claims.
  • Advanced Communication Skills - Clear articulate interaction is key managing relationships both internally externally ensuring transparency throughout process stage
  • Extensive industry experience within mining is highly advantageous
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent academic achievement preferred (Business/Engineering/Scheduling related)A degree in a relevant subject is desirable
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Candidates must have current righ to work in Australia to be considered for this role
