Introduction

We are looking for a highly skilled P6 Planner to work for our client, a leading mining and construction projects business in WA. This is a 6-12 month contract with a strong possibility of extension. The role is office-based in Perth CBD, with occasional visits to mine site construction projects.

About this role

As a P6 Planner, you will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, and performance/progress monitoring. You will also be involved in contract administration and will be expected to work closely with project managers and engineers to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

  • Manage and maintain project schedules, ensuring integrity, updates, and alignment with baseline schedules.
  • Provide scheduling guidance, risk analysis, and recovery strategies to teams and contractors.
  • Oversee reporting, progress tracking, and communication of schedule updates and actions.
  • Utilise earned value indicators (SPI & EV) to identify schedule risks, delays, or acceleration needs.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and organisational protocols for scheduling practices.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience within a working on engineering/construction projects including the development and maintenance of level 4 integrated project schedules
  • 8-10 years industry experience within mining is highly advantageous
  • A degree in a relevant subject is desirable
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Candidates must have current righ to work in Australia to be considered for this role
