Introduction

Coordinate and supervise the Batch Plant Operator crew to ensure precise batching and accurate record-keeping. Operate forklifts, trucks, front-end loaders, crane ways, and batching equipment for concrete mixing. Collaborate with the Maintenance department to conduct routine preventative maintenance and ensure optimal equipment performance.

  • Champion Safety Systems and Procedures:

    • Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of comprehensive safety systems and procedures. Proactively identify potential hazards and manage fatigue to ensure a safe and efficient working environment for all team members.
  • Strategic Plant Controls and Programming:

    • Design, plan, and execute robust plant controls and programming to drive operational excellence. Leverage advanced techniques and technologies to enhance performance and productivity.
  • Dynamic Team Leadership:

    • Inspire and guide plant employees on a daily basis, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment. Provide clear direction and support to ensure that all team members excel in their roles.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance:

    • Take full accountability for monitoring team performance and ensuring adherence to established guidelines, systems, and procedures. Conduct thorough checks on critical points to guarantee high-quality work output and minimize rework.
  • Proactive Inspection and Maintenance Oversight:

    • Oversee and supervise daily inspections of facilities to maintain optimal functionality and safety standards. Coordinate seamlessly with the Maintenance team to address and resolve any issues promptly, ensuring all maintenance tasks are completed according to checklist requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant technical diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications for operating, front-end loaders, or other heavy equipment are highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Batch Plant operations, preferably in a construction or industrial setting.
  • Proven track record in leading and supervising a team within a plant or similar operational environment.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with batching equipment, forklifts, trucks, front-end loaders, and other relevant machinery.
  • Strong understanding and implementation of safety systems and procedures in an industrial setting and the ability to ensure adherence to safety standards, operational guidelines, and protocols.
