About this role

You will play a vital role onsite with our customers and will oversee the SLS crew, data collection, geological analysis, well monitoring, reporting, and well-site communication. Acts as a project leader and mentors junior field engineers. Expected to maintain frequent intra-organizational and external customer contacts with high professionalism. You will conduct all business activities in accordance with HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Company Values. This is an experienced-hire opportunity with a preference for multi-skilled Field Specialists.
Essential Responsibilities:

  • Developing and demonstrating proficiency in the skill profile required for the delivery of Surface Logging Systems applications at the well site.
  • Successfully completing advanced technical training and assigned well site development programs
  • Conducting role in accordance with HSE policies, compliance and Core Values.
  • Understanding, challenging, executing, communicating & improving SLS Drilling Ops. Lead jobs.
  • Conducting proficiency in teamwork and communication especially during challenging high-stakes operating environments.
  • Assuming responsibility for the proper management of the mud-logging unit, including crew, equipment and operations while on tour.
  • Understanding and monitor all well site operations.
  • Ensuring that all equipment are functioning properly. Perform regular and frequent calibration checks of instruments and routine maintenance is performed as required on all equipment, particularly sensors.
  • Informing and advise the client of well conditions during all drilling related well site operations.
  • Notifying well site personnel of any anticipated or observed drilling problems related to geology, detection of a kick, or lost circulation.
  • Monitoring parameters and trends according to the operation: drilling, circulating, tripping, etc.Monitoring Software systems / Rig displays (change, additions).
  • Managing the database and ensure the quality and integrity of the well data; ensure that the real time data transmitting is reliable and meets requirements.
  • Establishing accurate and comprehensive Logs as per client's format. Update all logs, include standard SLS set, time logs prints and plots requested by
  • Client daily and as required.
  • Supplying the Client with technical information concerning equipment and processes used in mud logging, as well as any other relevant information requested by Client.
  • Ensuring all information required for completing all Daily reports is monitored, recorded, and available on time for inclusion into the final report.
  • Rigging-Up unit and all equipment as required, conforming to scope of work.
  • Ensure all installations are performed in a safe manner.
  • Developing and mentoring young talent as required with various diverse backgrounds.
  • Executing other related duties as assigned. Remote Operations support may be required.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Have a technical, engineering degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Have general knowledge of oil and gas industry.
  • Specific knowledge & experience with SLS Ops.
  • Have mechanical and electrical theoretical skills and hands-on aptitude.
  • Be experienced in Mud Logging | Surface Logging Systems
  • Be able to do presentation of real-time and recorded mode data to client.
  • Be able to do development of logging plan and end of well report.
