Introduction

  • Assist in the co-ordination and monitoring of the Safety, Health, Environment and Security procedures, plans and processes pertaining to the Offshore project to ensure project deliverables comply with approved project plans
  • Ensure the effective implementation of the Project Safety Management System, whilst providing continuous communication, coordination and advice to the Project HSE Division Managers and Project Leadership Team on Environmental and Management issues.
  • Assists in the planning, supervision and updating of HSE deliverables as set out in project plans.
  • Works and supports HSE, Interface and PMT members.
  • Provide direction and work effectively in a complex multinational and multi-cultural environment.
  • Develop effective working relationships with contracts, PMT and operating companies.

About this role

  • Support field monitoring survey activities during development, which may include among others: Marine Environmental Baseline (MEBS) Assessments, Terrestrial surveys, Contractor oversight and permit tracking/compliance.
  • Assist in the planning, setup and maintenance of the Environmental Action Plan (EAP) requirements for offshore projects as per project M of EM Consent to Construct (CTC) and other regulatory specifications.
  • Coordinate Field work permitting and interface support to Environmental Contractor.
  • Monitor Field site compliance with CTC, Environmental Management Programs and Regulatory Compliance.
  • Assist Environmental & Regulatory Specialist with monitoring data analysis & reporting and preparing EIA & permit applications.
  • Onshore office base desktop based duties (Doha & Ras Laffan) with extensive stretch of Field work offshore.
  • EFC to report to discuss with Environmental & Regulatory Specialist ongoing work assignments.
  • This support provided by includes the above listed activities, as well as need based functional support to offshore facilities.
  • Conducts periodic meetings with the Contractor to review progress and report on the status of the project

Requirements

  • 7 years of major project experience preferably in Qatar based oil and gas construction projects.
  • Proficiency in use Microsoft Office suite applications for routine and preparation of HSES related documentation.
  • Reviewing of project HSES documentation.
  • Working knowledge of risk management processes related to construction projects.
  • Experience on similar position on major pipeline projects.
  • Experience in multicultural/multilingual work environment.
  • Internationally recognized safety qualification equivalent to NEBOSH Diploma Level 6, however any qualification, technical or knowledge requirements may be waived through relevant work experience.
