Introduction

On behalf of Woodside, a global energy company based in Australia, we are seeking an Commissioning & Start-Up (CSU) Process Engineer to support the Pluto Train 2 (PT2) project.

About this role

Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshooting & Process Support

  • Identify and resolve process system issues across mechanical equipment and components.
  • Develop technical solutions and prepare change documentation.

Process Design & Operational Readiness

  • Perform plant operability and troubleshooting studies.
  • Support pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities to ensure system reliability.
  • Conduct plant shutdown and startup simulations using HYSYS.

Commissioning & Compliance

  • Evaluate vendor packages for compliance and support equipment performance testing.
  • Ensure adherence to Woodside's safety standards and industry regulations.
  • Participate in safety reviews and promote a Zero Accident Philosophy.

Project Coordination & Leadership

  • Provide technical guidance and leadership for testing, startup, and operations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, regulatory bodies, and project stakeholders.
  • Review and manage commissioning/startup plans and schedules.

Is this you?

Requirements:

  • Australian Full working rights
  • Bachelor's degree in Process (or equivalent) Engineering
  • Strong experience in commissioning, startup, operations, and maintenance of oil & gas processing facilities
  • Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in testing, startup, and operations of process and utility system
  • LNG project experience is highly desirabl
  • Knowledge of industry and regulatory standards

Candidates must either:

  • Hold a valid Industry Safety Induction (Safer Together), or
  • Demonstrate 12 months of oil & gas experience in the last 2 years to qualify for an "experienced worker" exemption.
