Introduction

A leading renewable energy developer is seeking an Energy Markets & Asset Manager to oversee energy market settlements, LGC trading, asset operations, and project finance administration. This role will work closely with AEMO, O&M contractors, investors, and lenders to optimize asset performance and ensure compliance with financial and regulatory requirements.

About this role

  • Energy Market & Compliance - Manage AEMO settlements and ensure all market transactions comply with regulatory requirements.
  • LGC Trading & Environmental Markets - Oversee Large-scale Generation Certificate (LGC) trading, ensuring revenue optimization and regulatory compliance.
  • Operational Asset Management - Coordinate with O&M contractors to maximize asset performance, ensure contract compliance, and oversee operational reporting.
  • Financial & Stakeholder Reporting - Prepare and deliver financial and operational performance reports to investors, lenders, and internal stakeholders.
  • Project Finance Oversight - Administer loan agreements, ensure compliance with lender conditions, conduct DSCR and covenant testing, and manage loan repayments.
  • Contract & Risk Management - Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including energy market operators, contractors, and financial institutions, ensuring all contractual obligations are met.
  • Portfolio Growth & Expansion - Support the integration of new renewable energy assets, assisting with due diligence and transition processes

Is this you?

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in energy market settlements, trading, or asset management within the Australian energy sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of AEMO processes, LGC trading, and operational asset management.
  • Expertise in project finance administration, including loan compliance, DSCR testing, and covenant management.
  • Proven ability to communicate with investors, lenders, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in financial modeling and reporting.
