What are you going to do 

We are looking for a talented Electrical Development Engineer to join our team in Zhuhai, where you will play a crucial role in the development and optimization of our current and next-generation electric buses. This role involves close collaboration with our engineering teams based in the Netherlands, serving as a bridge between our headquarters and our manufacturing partner in China. Your goal will be to ensure the smooth operation of the bus assembly process by providing technical support, improving system design, troubleshooting technical issues, and conducting rigorous testing.

THIS IS HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT...

· You develop HV and LV electrical systems: Design and optimize high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) electrical subsystems in line with the product and technology road map.

· You break down specifications: Translate customer specifications into modular electrical requirements and functions.

· You contribute to system roadmap development: Assist in the development of an electrical system roadmap, ensuring alignment with overall product goals.

· You optimize electrical harness design: Improve the design and efficiency of electrical harnesses for optimal performance.

· You create and validate concepts: Develop new electrical concepts, steer concept design choices, and prepare for design reviews.

· You prepare documentation: Create detailed technical documentation related to development activities, testing, and production support.

· You ensure safety and compliance: Participate in safety board meetings as required to ensure adherence to safety standards.

· You develop system architecture: Design HV system architecture for buses and chargers.

· You analyze data: Review vehicle data to identify opportunities for cost reduction, energy savings, and preventive maintenance.

· You support production: Provide hands-on technical support during the assembly process, addressing any electrical issues and implementing solutions.

Essential skills and knowledge 

THIS IS WHAT YOU WILL BRING...

· You have completed a technical degree at HBO or TU level in this field of engineering;

· You have a wide knowledge and more than 3 -5 years of work experience on Electric Vehicles;

· You have knowledge of the methods and tools needed as an Electric Engineer;

· You have hands-on experience in diagnosing and repairing electrical faults.

· You are in good command of the English language;

· You have a passion for automotive and are aware of developments and trends in this field of expertise;

· You function well within a multifunctional and dynamic environment;

· You take ownership, look for collaboration with colleagues.
