What are you going to do 

Under the final responsibility of the Project Manager, the Lead Engineer coordinates (sub)activities of projects on a technical level and is able to creatively seeking solutions when projects do not go according to plan. The Lead Engineer also provides commercial support to the Project Manager during the sales process and has the skills to communicate with the customer about the scope and outlook of a project.

Being able to plan the work of multiple projects simultaneously, recognizing dependencies in work and plan accordingly, and being critical when estimating work by engineers from various disciplines are key in your job. When starting a project, you get your team onboard and together you will work towards a goal-oriented solution.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • A completed hbo or wo education, in technical field.
  • At least 10 years experience in an engineering profession.
  • At least 5 years experience as a Lead Engineer.
  • Experience with and knowledge of ASML way of work is a plus.
  • Organizational talent.
  • Strong communication and social skills, with the ability to create support within the project team.
  • Good command of the Dutch and English languages, both oral and written.
  • Eager to learn.
  • Decisive.
  • Living in the Enschede region or willing to relocate there.
  • Driving license B.
  • This is a position of 32-40 hours per week.
