Introduction

On behalf of our client, Woodside Energy - a Global Energy Company, Brunel is presently sourcing an Ethics and Compliance Adviser (Part-time) for a 12 month contract located at their 'state of the art' Perth CBD premises. This role will be based on a 0.5 FTE, ie 20 hours per week, working Monday - Friday (mandatory) approx 4 hours per day.

About this role

The successful candidate will join the Ethics and Compliance Team and be responsible for conducting Risk Assessment of new suppliers. These are 'Corporate Risks' such as Anti Bribery and Corruption (ABC), legal sanctions, bankruptcy, adverse media, etc.

An insight to your responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing, evaluating and risk-rating third parties prior to entering contractual relationships, eg Suppliers, Customers, Social Investment Partners and other Business Partners)
  • Gathering intelligence using Woodside's due diligence systems and tools, as well as research using public sources to identify potential regulatory and reputational risks such as sanctions, politically exposed persons, adverse media and litigation
  • Communicating with internal stakeholders to request further information, seek clarity and report and escalate adverse findings to the Ethics and Compliance Team

Requirements

  • This role will be well suited to candidates from an Accounting / Finance / Contracts & Procurement backkground or perhaps a strong Administrator accompanied with an understanding of Corporate Structures and Risk
  • Display a high level of ethics on a personal level with the ability to maintain confidentiality at the highest levels
  • Ability to use your initiative and think through any issues that may arise
  • Strong eye for attention to detail
  • Availability to work part-time Monday - Friday (approx 4 hours per day) 0.5 FTE
