About this role

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To be responsible for a major part of an FPSO/FSO such as Topsides Modules package, Vessel Conversion works, Turret, etc...concerning all constructional aspects of fabrications/services made by the Company.
  • To be principally responsible for driving the Subcontractor in order to achieve project targets.
  • To manage, coordinate and supervise the activities of all the Construction Team allocated to his part of the Project

MAIN TASKS

  • To be involved in the preparation and scope of work for Yard Subcontracts.

  • Participate in the elaboration of the Construction Execution Plan, and ensure they are well understood by the Site Team.

  • To organize, schedule, and supervise all the Construction Team and activities under his authority.

  • To ensure that all construction aspects of the projects are supervised in a safe and efficient manner.

  • To be familiar with the project contract and specifications and to ensure that they are followed correctly.

  • To initiate actions to maximize cost savings to Company, while preserving Quality and take the appropriate decisions to preserve Company interests.

  • To ensure that the relevant QA and HSE procedures are understood, in place, and enforced by all Construction personnel under his authority.

  • To be responsible for the Quality and Safety performance of all Construction personnel working under his authority.

  • To establish and/or review the construction procedures and planning input for the part of the scope under his authority.

  • To manage all the construction work ensuring that it is carried out in accordance with the relevant drawings, Specifications, and/or Codes.

  • To plan and analyze the progress of the work, assess the situations, and initiate corrective actions as required.

  • To write and issue progress reports every week or as agreed with the PMT.

  • To report, to the main office, without any delay, any significant extraordinary event including HSSE matters.

  • To provide assistance and advice to the Construction personnel working under his authority.

  • To ascertain the needs for training and development of the Construction personnel and to inform the Departmental Construction & Completions Manager.

  • Participate in the review, development, and update of the GEMS, Departmental Working Instructions, and Job Descriptions relative to his scope of work.

  • To feedback Lessons Learned inputs for implementation on future projects.

  • To carry out the end of the year employee performance evaluations for the personnel having worked under his responsibility.

Is this you?

  • A university degree or technical college diploma in Engineering or Materials Science
  • A minimum of 15 years experience in Construction and/or Project Management in the offshore industry, with particular emphasis on FPSO\FSO Floating Production vessels.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
