Introduction

  • Provide SHES direction, guidance and leadership to Onshore PMT and CONTRACTOR(s) across all Packages within the assigned area.
  • Perform oversight of Onshore SHES training management process to ensure compliance with all Project and LNG Brownfield training requirements.
  • Support PMT SHES teams in all packages and CONTRACTOR training teams in the implementation and verification of the Onshore and CONTRACTOR SHES Training Plans and Procedures through systematic training management reviews.
  • Support the Onshore CONTRACTORS and provide expert advice on the brownfield training management, training performance measuring and continual improvement to all PMT and CONTRACTOR personnel at all levels of the organization, and during all phases of the project.
  • Supports the SHES Systems Head and the SHES Excellence Division Manager in developing, evaluating and continually improving the SHES Performance Excellence elements of the PMT and CONTRACTORS SHES management systems, and the effective implementation of the brownfield SHES training plans and procedures at site in accordance with the requirements stipulated in the contract SHES Instructions, and Contractor’s SHES Plans and Procedures.
  • Supports Management in terms of project training requirements for a large, “one of a kind” LNG plant, including associated facilities and infrastructures comprising of four 7.8 MTPA process trains, large and complex utilities and off-sites.
  • Coordinates across multiple, large Contracts – in particular with the “pool” SHES Team to ensure alignment and proper reporting to the organization, including Major Projects Group, Stakeholders.
  • The role is a key position with significant impact on the project SHES performance in terms of effective implementation of, and the compliance with SHES training procedures, programs and systems, and supports the development and application of performance improvement strategies, Safe Systems of Work (SSoW), and Lessons Learned on the Onshore Project.
  • Job holder oversees all Contractor’s and Subcontractor’s Brownfield training activities, and develops solutions to performance related issues using initiative, project procedures, best practices, Lessons Learned and personal knowledge and experience.

About this role

  • Supports the Onshore Project in all SHES related disciplines and scope of work but with specific SHES focus on brownfield training management, training performance monitoring, contractual training compliance, and continual improvement of brownfield training related management system elements.
  • Supports the SHES Systems Head and SHES Excellence Division Manager Shared Resources as the key focal points for the overall project brownfield training management.
  • Provides oversight of the CONTRACTORS and Subcontractors brownfield training management systems and drives performance excellence in all brownfield training related aspects.
  • Support SHES audits relevant to the project brownfield training management system, and participates in PMT and CONTRACTOR SHES training assurance activities as required.
  • Provide strategic advice and support to the SHES Systems Head and SHES Excellence Division Manager, and ensure effective implementation of the brownfield training consistent with established SHES strategy, goals and objectives.
  • Assist the SHES Systems Head and SHES Excellence Division Manager with development, and stewardship of a comprehensive and integrated Onshore SHES Training Program.
  • Coordinate third party training as required for brownfield and oversees the delivery of such training in accordance with established service agreements.
  • Act as advisor when requested in the development of project brownfield training policies and procedures.
  • Keep up-to-date with relevant brownfield policies and procedures to identify potential impact to training.
  • Supports the PMT and CONTRACTOR Craft Training focal points in developing and implementing craft training across all packages.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Chemistry, Petrochemicals, or Process Engineering.
  • Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety (e.g. NEBOSH Diploma, BSc or NVQ L6)
  • Internationally Recognized Training Qualification (e.g., PTLLS, IOSH TTT)
  • Minimum of ten (10) years industry relevant HSE experience with specific responsibilities in Brownfield and Greenfield training, management, delivery and competency assessments.
  • International project experience with Tier-1 Contractors or Client, involved in the construction of onshore production facilities (i.e. greenfield and brownfield work).
  • Sound knowledge of the project execution process in large-scale project environments.
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills; confident and clear presentation development and delivery
  • Able to cope with excessive workload and work under extreme pressure, keeping the team calm and focused
  • Strong teamwork, facilitation, with the ability to communicate and interact with all levels of organization
  • Ability to work with diverse cultures to obtain a world-class SHES performance.
  • Creates high quality and accurate output in a timely manner.
  • Team player who can effectively collaborate within project Teams and with external parties.
  • Computer literate, familiar working with Micosoft Officer applications.
