Introduction

As a Senior Resource Geologist, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise in the field of geology to support our projects in the mining and resources sector. You will be joining a dynamic and innovative team dedicated to providing high-quality services to our client.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Recognised tertiary qualifications in Geology
  • Membership of AIG or AusIMM (FAusIMM or CP)
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in geology, with at least 5 years in a senior role
  • Significant geology experience including production roles in underground and or open cut operations
  • Expertise in the use of geological resource models and modelling processes and a sound knowledge of geo-statistics and the reconciliation process
  • Experience in preparing mineral reserve statements and annual resource reports
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High level understanding of all relevant legislation affecting the employment and safety of persons in the mining industry in PNG
