Introduction

We are currently seeking a Senior Cost Controller to join our team in Brisbane CBD, Queensland, Australia. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the financial success of our projects.

About this role

As the Senior Cost Controller, you will be responsible for managing project budgets, monitoring project costs, and providing financial reports to project managers. You will work closely with project teams to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining project budgets
  • Monitoring project costs and ensuring that they are within budget
  • Providing financial reports to project managers
  • Conducting financial analysis to identify areas for cost savings
  • Collaborating with project teams to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
  • Participating in project meetings and providing financial updates to project teams

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in Engineering/ Finance/ Accounting or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience in the oil & gas, mining, or infrastructure industries
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software
