Introduction

We are seeking experienced oil and gas rig personell ideally based in South East Queensland and South Australia to work with a globally recognised company. This will be a contract based role for upcoming drilling activity in the Surat and Cooper Basins, commencing immediately.

  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and Government safety regulations pertaining to the worksite.
  • Participate in safety initiatives.
  • Responsible for maintenance and operation of the rigs motors.
  • General equipment maintenance around the rig.
  • Ensure that preventative maintenance is performed on equipment as outlined in maintenance manual.
  • Operates equipment to test its functioning.
  • Assist other rig crew as necessary.
  • Maintain and lubricate machinery to keep it running efficiently.
  • Assist in setting up, taking down and transporting drilling and service rigs.
  • To supervise Leasehand, Floorhand crew members on rig and delegate jobs to these members.
  • Prepare up and coming operations and prepare all gear for these jobs.
  • Perform other tasks as needed.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Certificate II in Drilling Oil/Gas (on shore)
  • Current experience as a Motorhand or Lead Floorhand on a Land Rig is an advantage
  • Physical strength and stamina
  • The ability to work long hours and in extreme conditions
  • Must be able to work at heights
  • Able to follow directions and company policies
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • A general knowledge of machinery is considered to be an asset
  • Open, manual Driver's License
  • The Company primarily promotes experienced Floorhand's to this position
