Introduction

We are seeking skilled Mechanical Fitters, Boilermakers, and Scraper Technicians to join our maintenance team at a leading iron ore company in the Pilbara. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic ore processing plant on a 2:2 roster, where you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our operations.

About this role

As a Mechanical Tradesperson, you will be responsible for conducting maintenance and repairs on critical ore processing equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety within the plant. The key duties associated with this role are outlined below:

  • Conduct scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs on ore processing equipment, including conveyors, crushers, and screens, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
  • Manufacture, assemble, and repair metal structures and components related to ore processing operations
  • Operate and maintain conveyor systems, ensuring proper alignment, tensioning, and lubrication to minimize downtime and enhance efficiency
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults in ore processing equipment and conveyor systems, implementing effective solutions to reduce operational disruptions
  • Collaborate closely with the processing operations team, reporting issues and providing mechanical support to minimize downtime
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with both operational and maintenance teams to ensure timely and efficient resolution of mechanical issues
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, calibrations, and other maintenance activities
  • Actively participate in safety meetings and hazard assessments, adhering to safe work practices in a high-risk environment

Is this you?

Scraper Technician Requirements:

  • Mechanical/Belt Splicing trade qualification
  • High Risk Work Licence - Dogging, Rigging OR EWP
  • Polywelding Certificate
  • Working at Hights Preferred

Boilermaker & Mechanical Fitter Requirements:

  • Mechanical/Fabrication Trade qualification
  • High Risk Work Licence - Dogging and Forklift
  • Working at Heights
  • Enter and Work in Confined Spaces

All candidates require the following:

  • Valid Driver's Licence (C class)
  • White Card
  • Full Australian Working Rights
  • Demonstrated processing experience in Mining
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and zero harm
