Introduction

  • Responsible for providing technical, commercial, and functional direction related to all aspects of contracting including the formulation and administration of ITT packages and Contract from Pre-Award until Close Out.
  • Maintains contact with other Management personnel and Functional Managers. Legal and Risk Management to obtain and provide information regarding contract issues and mitigation strategies.
  • Operates in a multi-cultural, multinational environment, which requires professional conduct and proper office protocol.
  • Works often under significant time pressure.
  • Negotiate with multiple parties for the benefit of Company.

About this role

  • Review contractual terms and conditions to ensure compliance by the Contractor and ensure Company requirements are continually being met.
  • Monitor Contractor’s purchasing, expediting, logistics and field materials management to ensure schedule objectives are met.
  • Review and approve contractor’s procurement/contracting procedures and documents.
  • Lead the review and negotiation of project change requests submitted by Contractor(s).
  • Take the lead in preparing contractual responses to the Contractor(s).
  • Interface with Contractor(s) in resolving Contractual and Procurement related issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering; or Bachelor of Law; or equivalent and/or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 8 years’ broad contract management, contracts and procurement experience on major oil and gas projects.
  • Quantity Surveyor or Major Proven Contracts experience
  • Experience in major Construction Projects (including brown-field work) with total capital expenditure >USD$1B.
  • Ability to review, draft and negotiate contractual commitment documentation.
  • Experience with multi-cultural type Projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to review and comment on commercial and contractual documents.
  • Competent to mentor and coach contractors / subcontractors.
  • Ability to check contract commitments & prepare summary documents, position papers, board submissions and all associated paperwork.
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Collaborative personality who ensures alignment with internal stakeholders, sponsors and service departments.
