Brunel is looking to hire a Laboratory Technician to work with a major Oil and Gas company in Houston, TX on a long term contract.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collect and prepare soil samples for testing in accordance with industry standards.
* Conduct soil analysis for contaminants, pH levels, and other chemical properties.
* Operate and maintain laboratory equipment used in soil testing, ensuring accuracy and reliability of results.
* Record and analyze data from soil tests, ensuring precision and consistency in reporting.
* Collaborate with engineers, geologists, and environmental scientists to interpret results and provide technical support.
* Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized lab environment.
* Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies during testing procedures.
Qualifications:
* 1+ years of experience in soil testing, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
* Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related field (preferred).
* Familiarity with standard soil testing methods and laboratory equipment.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a lab environment.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
* Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for lab environments.
