Introduction

Brunel International is seeking a Health and Safety Advisor with rail experience to join our client's Headland Operations team. This is a FIFO 8:6 position, working Tuesdays to Tuesdays, covering a 10-month parental leave. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in mining, with rail experience highly desirable. The position is capped at $1000 per day.

About this role

As the Health and Safety Advisor, you will be responsible for ensuring that all rail operations are conducted safely and effectively. You will be responsible for developing and implementing safety policies and procedures, conducting safety audits, and providing safety training to employees. You will also be responsible for investigating accidents and incidents, and making recommendations for improvements to prevent future occurrences.

Requirements

- Minimum 3 years of experience in mining- Rail experience highly desirable
- Health and Safety qualification- Experience in developing and implementing safety policies and procedures
- Experience conducting safety audits and providing safety training- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines- Valid driver's licence

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of up to $1000 per day, depending on experience and qualifications. You will be working on a FIFO 8:6 roster, working Tuesdays to Tuesdays, covering a 10-month parental leave.
