Introduction

  • Responsible to manage all mechanical completion activities and the commissioning works for Project.
  • Supervise and coordinate all activities and required deliverables from detailed engineering phase through construction, offshore installation, brownfield and Hook up, pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up activities in order to secure hand-over to Operation and Assets
  • Strives to achieve the best in class HSE and Quality performances under multicultural environment and challenging Project.
  • Project is part of a large Compression Development Program decided by and its Shareholders. This major project consists of the delivery of new facilities (5 new riser platforms, 1 wellhead platform, 110km of CRA pipelines, stalk on risers, cables and FO lines) and the tie-ins/modifications to a large number of existing platforms.
  • The position will be located in Doha at Contractor office with regular visits to the Construction yard (outside Qatar) and to the offshore sites.
  • The position includes a strong team leadership, effective and flawless coordination and interaction with the Project team members, Contractor, Operation and planning department to keep close control of the schedule, planned Shut Down windows, Project delivery Milestones related to hand-over and completion activities including associated database, documentation with particular focus on the punch list management and certificates
  • Provide extensive knowledge and understanding of mechanical completion tools with the ability to propose any improvements and implementation of lessons learned from other projects.
  • High focus shall be made to the preparation and to the execution of the commissioning activities on S(outiseites with respect to HSE, Quality and Schedule.

About this role

  • Understanding & familiarity of the Project scope and the technical, quality & safety requirements including the applicable regulations, the Project procedures and Company rules.
  • Responsibility to develop mechanical completion and commissioning plan and Execution strategies with the Contractor
  • Responsible and accountable to manage, review and approve the procedures related to mechanical completion, commissioning and hand-over scope of work.
  • Manage System Completion activities under Smart plant environment with respect to the procedures and project Milestones, and accountable to validate the accuracy of the data including the verification of the progress measurement.
  • Responsible and accountable for the system completion database set-up, population, verification, reporting including comprehensive set of key of performance indicators in close collaboration with contractor
  • Ensure that Contractor personnel and Company Team are qualified, trained and with suitable level of experience and expertise with respect to system completion scope of work and requirements.
  • Take leadership in liaison with Contractor and Operation team for the organization of dedicated completion, Commissioning, Hand-over workshops.
  • Participate with the project team and operation team to prepare SIMOPS procedure and specification with respect to the offshore commissioning scope
  • Close supervision of the pre commissioning and commissioning testing activities at the Construction yard and Offshore facilities.
  • Make sure that all Inspections are conducted and all systems tested to verify system performance, monitor progress and address project risks
  • Prepare and provides routine verbal and written progress reports to the Project Manager and closely monitor the progress performance of the system completion scope. Any risk of delay and/or nonconformance shall be immediately reported to the Project Manager and mitigations measures shall be proposed
  • Ability to identify problems and determine root cause and develop plan to mitigate or resolve them.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. System completion Management experience is required.
  • 15+ years of experience with 5 years at senior system completion supervision level with overall responsibility for systems completion and site commissioning. Broad and extensive knowledge in offshore projects execution, engineering, construction, operations, and systems completion.
  • High and strong knowledge of Completion and Commissioning Processes and International Stardards in O&G Industry.
  • Knowledgeable in HAZOP, HAZID, Risk Assessment processes. Good knowledge of International codes / Standards
  • Experience in Operational Start-up is a plus
  • A high level of proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Good experience with site commissioning activities (topside
  • Fully conversant with the system commissioning database, organized and methodical
  • Proven experience with advanced work Packaging (AWP) methodology and systems completion management and associated database
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence others to meet the project objectives
  • Excellent interpersonal, technical and communication skills with a focus on teamwork and the ability to communicate with different disciplines and people from a variety of cultural backgrounds.
  • Works in multiple locations environment with high expectation for flawless project execution which requires the incumbent to demonstrate capacity to take workload, initiatives, be inventive and the ability to multi-tasks as essential skills
