Introduction

We are seeking an experienced Crane/Mechanical Engineer to join Woodside's NWS Team.

About this role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide crane maintenance engineering support to KGP (Karratha Gas Plant) and NWS Gas (North West Shelf)

  • Drive complex multidiscipline OPEX and CAPEX modifications to reduce process safety, environmental, regulatory, and financial risks to ALARP (As Low As Reasonably Practicable).

  • Answer engineering queries and quantify risk by performing Level 1 to 3 analysis using relevant standards (API / ASME / AS / BS / ISO) in software such as Excel, Python, MATLAB, PVElite, CAESAR, and ANSYS.

  • Apply technical judgment and experience to select appropriate mechanical work for maintenance campaigns.

  • Deliver engineering support for planned maintenance activities, including Management of Change (MOC) and Short-Term Campaigns (STC) workpacks.

  • Optimize maintenance strategies based on the evolving Asset Reference Plan (ARP).

  • Respond promptly to engineering queries for recurring and corrective workflows.

  • Screen Maintenance Notifications.

  • Manage mechanical-related Safety & Environmental Critical Elements (SECEs).

  • Assist in incident investigations following the HSE Event Reporting, Investigating, and Learning Procedure.

Is this you?

Requirements:

  • Australian Citizen
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering with relevant experience, including extended knowledge of cranes.
  • Expertise in onshore and offshore overhead cranes and powered davits.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong understanding of Management of Change (MOC), risk identification, and assessment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
