Introduction

Brunel energy is seeking to recruit experienced contract professionals to work on projects for a Perth based mining business. The Contracts Specialist and Principal roles will support large-scale resource projects by managing contracts throughout their lifecycle.

About this role

The Contract Specialist will be responsible for managing contracts for live major projects or a larger portfolio of smaller projects. The successful candidate will attend pre and post bid meetings, negotiate terms and conditions, and conduct contracts quality assurance reporting and compliance monitoring. In addition, the Contract Specialist must have at least 6 years experience in contracts and a degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Commerce, Finance or Law, which are highly desirable. The successful candidate must also have an excellent understanding of contract and general law and must have proven ability to review and fairly evaluate bids and tender packages.

Requirements:

  • At least 6 years experience in contracts
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Commerce, Finance or Law are highly desirable
  • Excellent understanding of Australian contract and general law
  • Must have proven ability to review and fairly evaluate bids and tender packages
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced environment
  • Current right to work in Australia - candidates without this can unfortunaley be considered
