Introduction

  • Supervise & Monitor Top Sides Contractor Team field planning, coordination, and execution activities.
  • Appraises the performance of the Topsides Contractor Team in safety, quality, cost (as applicable) and schedule.
  • Prepares and provides routine verbal and written progress reports to the Head of Construction and updates S-curve performance of the contractor with analysis to achieve progress.
  • Ensures that the offshore Top Sides Contractor Team develops, implements, and sustains its Safety and Quality program at site.
  • Review the offshore Top Sides Contractor ‘s Construction deliverables like Method statements, Construction Procedures, Lifting schemes etc. as per company specifications.
  • Managing all piping related activities including but not limited to prefabrication, fabrication, installation, hydrotesting, flushing, drying, cleaning, reinstalment and precomm (including required check and task sheets).
  • Co-ordinates all construction site activities of the Project, to ensure the technical objectives are safely met within the approved scope and schedule.
  • Accountable for Topsides piping construction and sailaway produced by the Topsides Project.
  • Interfaces with various project teams and departments on resolving related issues that require effective communication, initiative, flexibility, and an ability to induce collaboration.

About this role

  • Focal point at site, for promoting and implementing safety on the construction site. Implement and provide safety leadership by example to the Offshore Project Team and the Offshore contractor and its sub-contractors and site vendors.
  • Responsible for ensuring the offshore contractor team Implements and sustains its obligations and responsibilities for HSES project deliverables.
  • As Offshore Project Team’s Construction representative for monitoring and coordinating site activities of the offshore Contractor team and its subcontractor(s) in piping and mechanical activities.
  • Reports on the construction activities, progress, areas of concern and mitigating actions to Management and participate & contribute to weekly construction discipline review meetings.
  • Responsible for implementation of execution activities and ensures development, review, and approval (as required) of appropriate plans, procedures, and programs for safe and effective execution. This includes authorization of COMPANY permits wherever necessary.
  • Reviews and approves the offshore Contractor team’s Construction Sequence plans, work plans, pre-task planning and method statements and participate in Constructability reviews, Hazid workshops during construction to ensure comprehensive safety and feasibility in piping and mechanical activities.
  • Help in identifying and organizing all required construction support (Third Party support, Joint-Venture partner technical support, etc.) in liaison with the Offshore Topsides personnel.
  • Review construction risks and assist in providing mitigation measures. Report Risks to the Offshore Management, review the EPCI schedules Level-3 & level 4 prepared by the Contractor.
  • Monitors site material handling, preservation, and warehousing procedures with respect to piping and mechanical activities.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree/diploma or equivalent, however any qualification, technical or knowledge requirements may be waived through relevant work experience.
  • Min 5+ years of total experiences with at least 3 years demonstrated as preservation specialist experience in major capital projects.
  • Experiences of working onshore and ideally Offshore oil and gas platform commissioning and preservation project from preparation stage, onshore/offshore construction and commissioning execution and provide if any support for start-up and performance test of the offshore facility specially WHP topside.
  • Experiences for handling interface work and SIMOPS with internal organization and other contractors.
  • Experiences of handling system completion workflow process, system completion database of major project at many locations such as fabrication yard, including handover from project team to operations, interface within internal organization and familiar with system completion database ICAPS and OPERCOM.
  • Experience of handling contractors, sub-contractors and vendors involved in the oil and gas industry and familiar with preparation of ITR and job card for offshore HUC campaign and worldwide experience with contractors or under company.
